Pack-Age - 包相

ファインアートには「作品制作の終わりをどこに設けるのか？」という問いが存在します。このシリーズは、その問いにひとつの答えを投げかけるものです。その答えとは、「答えは出ない」ということ。現実世界と同様に、どこまで向かっても終わりが無く、また始まりも無いのです。人生にしても生死で全てが区切れる訳ではなく、血と絆が延々と紡がれ続けます。現在、私たちはその終わりなきもの、答えなきものを目の前にし続けています。

このシリーズでは、作品を梱包したままの状態で展示します。それは「過去」「未来」と名付けられた包装によってくるまれ、全ての瞬間において誰の手にも触れられていない新品の状態であり、その包装の中には可能性や希望が内在します。そうした可能性や希望は明瞭な姿として表出しませんが、「過去」「未来」の包装そのものが、それらの様相を私たちに強く訴えかけるのです。鑑賞者には、そのように包装された現在の様相を、鋭く前向きな視点で感得して頂きたいと願います。

In fine art, the question exists: "Where do we set the end of production of an artwork?" This series poses an answer to this ultimate question. The answer is that " there is no answer". Just like in the real world, there is no end and no beginning, no matter how far you go. Even in life, not everything is delimited by life and death, but blood and bonds continue to be spun endlessly. Today, we continue to see what is endless and unanswerable.In this series, the works are presented in their original packaging.It is wrapped in packaging named 'past' and 'future', untouched by anyone at any given moment, and within that packaging are possibilities and hopes.These possibilities and hopes do not appear in a clear form, but the packaging of 'Past' and 'Future' itself strongly appeals to us with their aspects.It is my hope that visitors will be able to perceive aspects of present wrapped in such packaging from a sharp and positive point of view.
