The Buddhist expression 'All worldly things are transitory' refers to constant fluctuation and expansion and contraction of events caused by cause and effect between human beings. On 11 March 2011, we experienced unprecedented disaster of the Great East Japan Earthquake, but also experienced fluctuation and expansion and contraction of 'positive/life chain' of people working hand in hand to sustain each other's lives.Meanwhile, last year, coincidentally on the same 11 March, WHO announced a COVID-19 pandemic.
We have a fluctuating and swelling 'negative/death chain' where people threaten each other's lives. This time, I expressed cause and effect of this human-to-human chain of events by means of swinging and size of a balloon filled with helium gas.The balloon's "unpredictable fluctuations" and "inflatable and deflectable characteristics" serve to visualize the world's mutability, and I would like you to feel "positive and negative causes and effects of human interconnectedness".
